The Alienist: Angel of Darkness trailer drops
TNT’s Emmy award nominated limited series announced it’s second season The Alienist: Angel of Darkness will premiere on TNT July 19th. Cheryl cut episodes 2, 7 and 8 of the new season of the limited series, based on the books by Caleb Carr and starring Daniel Bruhl, Dakota Fanning and Luke Evans.

Snowpiercer brings forward its airdate and releases a new trailer
TNT’s Snowpiercer has brought forward it’s release date from May 31st to May 17th. It will premiere on TNT in the USA and worldwide on Netflix. With the new release date news comes a new trailer. Cheryl edited episodes 5 & 8 of the first-run series for TNT.

BFI Future Film Festival
The BFI Future Film Festival is the UK’s most important industry festival for filmmakers aged 16-25. Cheryl participated in this year’s 13th annual festival by speaking at the roundtable event “So You Want A Job In Post Production” along with many of her colleagues currently working Joss Whedon’s new show for HBO “The Nevers”.
Avid’s Art Of Editing Interview series
Along with many other talented editors who participated in ACE’s London EditFest, Cheryl is currently being featured in Avid’s Art Of Editing interview series.

International Film Editors Forum in Cologne
This October Cheryl participated in the 2019 International Film Editors Forum, which took place this year at the Film Plus festival of editing in Cologne, Germany. Film Plus is the oldest film festival in Europe that focuses exclusively on the art of film editing.
The forum featured 40 editors hailing from 20 countries worldwide, including Dody Dorn and Tatiana S. Riegel.
Australian Screen Editors Awards nominations announced
The Australian Screen Editors Guild have announced the nominees for their yearly “Ellie” awards for 2019. Cheryl has been nominated twice – both for her work on the final episode of Series 1 of Amazon’s Hanna in TV Drama and also for Welcome To The Powder Keg in Short Drama.
“The Australian Screen Editors Guild is dedicated to the pursuit and recognition of excellence in screen editing and all forms of motion picture post production.”

The Screenster Podcast
Cheryl is featured in the latest episode of Georgie Grier’s The Screenster Podcast. Each episode of Screenster takes a close look at some aspect of the film and television industry. Cheryl and Georgie had a great discussion about the editing process and how the cutting room works. It’s a more general chat and not too technical so would be good for any film-loving folk who are curious how the process works.
